Contract Services in Isotope Analyses
Rb, Sr, Sm, Nd, Lu, Hf, U,Th, Pb
We perform Rb, Sr, Sm, Nd, Lu, Hf, U,Th, Pb concentration analyses by isotope dilution mass spectrometry or equivalent methods. Our facility includes ultraclean Class-100 laboratories with controlled temperature and humidity for weighing, dissolving and processing samples. Isotope ratios are determined using two multi-collector mass spectrometers ( a Triton TIMS and a Neptune TIMS). We include the results for internationally recognized isotopic standards with all our contract work.
Although we can, in rare circumstances, carry out mineral separations, we prefer that mineral separates and/or rock powders are prepared and provided by the requestor. All powders should be inspected for homogeneity under a binocular microscope prior to shipping them to us. Please do not provide powders in paper or plastic bags - centrifuge tubes or small plastic/glass vials should be used.
